Meet Nic
Hi, I'm Nicole, founder of The After Hours Collective. Born and raised in Mukilteo, I now work as a Paraeducator in the same district I attended throughout my childhood.
I am currently in the process of becoming a certified personal trainer and nutritionist, with a women's fitness specialization.
My Story
The idea for The After Hours Collective grew from something I kept witnessing and experiencing: wanting to become stronger, feel better, and take care of mysel. The environments available to me created unnecessary friction that made staying consistent hard. I believe this is something many women can relate to.
Big box gyms can feel intimidating, overstimulating, or simply not designed with women’s comfort and real lives in mind. At the same time, many boutique fitness spaces focus heavily on classes, trends, or aesthetics rather than giving women the freedom to learn strength training at their own pace.
I wanted to create something different!
The After Hours Collective is being built as a women-only strength studio where members can train independently, learn in small groups, work with qualified trainers, and become part of a genuine community that lifts women up. The goal is not to create another harsh transformation or image-driven fitness space. It is to create a place where women feel safe, capable, supported, and genuinely excited to come back.
My own path to this business has included nearly a decade in healthcare operations, a career transition into education, and continued training in fitness and nutrition. Each part of that experience has shaped how I think about people, systems, accessibility, and what it takes to build an environment that truly works for the people using it.
The After Hours Collective is more than a gym to me. It is the beginning of a larger vision centered on strength, belonging, and removing the barriers that keep women from fully showing up for themselves.
I genuinely look forward to training with you!
